Demographic change

Changes in population, globally and specifically the ageing of the population in developed countries present a considerable challenge for the future.

The size, structure and distribution of the human population is a basic factor in the shape of the future. The changes that occurred in the last half of the 20th Century and the predicted change in the 21st have significant implications.
